- Linux System Administrator (Ansible/VMware) - TS/SCI Full Scope Poly

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to join a highly skilled team supporting mission-critical systems in Linthicum, MD. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in managing, automating, and securing Linux and virtual environments. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of virtualization (VMware) and configuration management (Ansible). Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly is required.
What You Will Do
Perform daily Linux system administration tasks, ensuring high availability and performance.
Research, develop, and implement solutions to address and close IAVA (Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert) findings.
Utilize Ansible for configuration management, patch deployment, and system automation across the infrastructure.
Build, maintain, and troubleshoot VMware environments, managing both physical and virtual servers.
Stand up and configure new Windows and Linux Servers, applying necessary patches and upgrades.
Deploy and maintain monitoring tools to ensure proactive system health management.
Requirements
Active TS/SCI Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (Mandatory).
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Linux system administration experience.
Proven experience in building and maintaining VMware environments.
Demonstrated knowledge of managing both physical and virtual servers.
Experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
Experience researching and creating solutions to address and close IAVA’s (or similar security remediation experience).
Relevant experience (based on education level): Bachelor's + 5 years of Sys Admin experience, or 5 years of Sys Admin experience may be substituted for the degree.
Highly Desired Skills (Bonus Points)
Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Perl.
Experience with containerization technology, specifically Docker.
Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools such as Elasticsearch or Splunk.
