Fintech Corporate Legal Director
Location: Pittsburgh, United States (Remote but Occasional work at office)
Type: Full-Time Contractor
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Legal professional to support and execute the company’s commercial contracting and compliance needs. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, with a strong emphasis on drafting, reviewing, and managing commercial contracts in a fintech environment.
What You’ll Do
Commercial Contracts
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial / enterprise and institutional contracts, including SaaS, licensing, data-sharing, and tokenization agreements.
Create and maintain contract templates and playbooks to support scalable business operations.
Execute contract signatures with multiple stakeholders.
Compliance, Regulatory & Commercial Oversight
Lead the company’s compliance function, covering financial services, tokenization, payments, data privacy, and cybersecurity.
Monitor and interpret evolving U.S. and international regulations impacting fintech and blockchain operations.
Engage with regulators, auditors, and external counsel to manage filings, audits, or inquiries.
Draft, review, and negotiate enterprise and institutional contracts, including SaaS, licensing, tokenization, and data-sharing agreements.
Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and scalable processes to support business operations.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
- 3 years of progressive legal experience, including contract management in-house experience in technology or fintech sectors.
- Proven experience in corporate law and commercial contracts.
- Strong working knowledge of fintech, blockchain, tokenization, and digital asset regulations.
- Exceptional judgment, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly.
