About the Role:
We are seeking a highly strategic yet action-oriented Associate Director, Cloud Platform Architect to join our growing cloud platform team. Reporting directly to the Director and Head of Cloud Architecture and Operations, you will act as a strategic extension of the team to implement the Cloud Vision and Roadmap for 2026 and beyond.
In this pivotal role, you will define the target state of cloud maturity, ensuring our platforms (AWS and GCP) are secure, scalable, reliable and cost-optimized. You will lead the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), driving governance that is "fit-for-purpose"- enabling business agility without being disruptive. You will operate in a fast-paced environment, navigating ambiguity with an ownership mindset to drive tangible, measurable value for the organization.
What You'll Do:

You'll also:
- Lead and conduct CCoE activities, acting as a technical authority for other IT and business teams. Establish guiding principles, standards, and blueprints that are practical and enabling.
- Lead the architecture governance for new and existing workloads. Review business requirements and guide teams toward recommended, secure, and cost-optimized cloud architectures, considering alternatives and existing Insmed solutions.
- Continuously evaluate Insmed's cloud maturity against AWS/GCP best practices such as peer organization benchmarks, driving initiatives to close gaps.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AWS and GCP, designing robust infrastructure solutions.
- Create Reference Architectures for most common and prioritized use cases that are compliant with AWS & GCP well architected framework.
- Architect, develop and enforce strong DevSecOps & SRE practices. Author and Implement CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and the automated provisioning of new GCP projects and AWS accounts.
- Collaborate deeply with Insmed Networking and Cybersecurity teams to design secure cloud networking topologies, create Terraform or CloudFormation templates to implement the target state networking architecture and enforce rigorous application and data security standards.
- Work effectively with global stakeholders across various geographies, ensuring cloud solutions support international business needs and compliant with country specific regulations and data residency requirements.
- Work closely and collaborate with external consulting partners (onsite and offshore), ensuring delivery quality and alignment with internal standards.
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical worlds. Communicate deep technical concepts to engineers and consultants while presenting high-level strategic value to senior executives and business leaders.
- Provide architectural guidance to application and data teams, ensuring their solution architectures align with cloud-native principles and Insmed data governance requirements.
Who You Are:
You have a minimum of an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or related field as well as 10+ years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Platform Architect (or similar role) within large enterprise organizations or with cloud hyperscalers.
You are or you have:

- Strong Application and Data Security architecture skills.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working closely with external consulting partners with mixed onsite and offshore teams.
- A self-starter who takes full ownership of initiatives, driving them from concept to measurable outcome.
